Musikili Primary school in Mazabuka

Image
Kids from Musikili Primary school in Mazabuka which based in southern part of Zambia🇿🇲fly when going to school and from school....why drive when you can fly?👍  I played golf with one of the teacher from there, she said that they currently have 150 pupils and it cost $4200 per term. Take time and visit the school and probably take your child there.

HAKAINDE HICHILEMA HAS FAILED

Image
This statement has become widespread among many Zambian and I am not surprised. My expectations of HH post the 12 August 2021 elections included the following; (1) Debt restructuring (2) IMF bailout (3) Appreciating Kwacha.. So far I have ticked all the 3, to me he hasn't failed. But when you analyze my expectations, you will discover that a simple mind ( and these form the majority) will not make sense of what it really means to achieve  1 and 2. That is why these simple minds are crying out saying HH has failed. They understand nothing about why we are facing austerity and they are not even aware that we are under austerity measures. They think with their mouths and stomachs.  It is not impossible for you to have two or *three streams of income* to counter the austerity measures, so if you find yourself not affording certain things, don't blame anyone but yourself. If you work a bit harder you will be able to afford whatever you want, the failure here is yourself.  When...

𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟓 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐩𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 When I began freelancing on Upwork, my goal was to earn money to cover business capital and bills. It was great. But it wasn't all roses and sunshine (like most things in life). I went through some really hard times on the platform 🥺 Let's face it; the competition is fierce😫. It seems like everyone can do what you do and do it better, so how are you supposed to stand out? 🤷‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️ The answer: You need to think outside the box and make yourself stand out. But how are you supposed to do that in a world where clients want to work with "professionals" who've been in the industry for 10 years? 😬 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 💎 Create a Killer Profile: The first step to succeeding on Upwork is creating a killer profile. And I mean killer. You need to showcase yourself in the best light possible, highlight your strengths and emphasize on what you can offer to address ...

DATING SOMEONE WITH A FIXED MINDSET IS SO DRAINING

Image
There's nothing more draining than dating someone with a fixed mindset when you're an entrepreneur. I was once in a relationship with a police officer. She was pretty that attracted me to her and I thought she was more ambitious since she was working. The problem was that she had a fixed mindset. She was a robotick thinker. The fact that she had a degree convinced her that she was smart and didn't need to learn anything new. So we never even had decent conversations. We will always talk about celebrities and whatever is trending on the internet that time. We never discussed new ways of making money or potential investments e.t.c The other thing was that she was putting pressure on me. You know when someone is working pressurizing you to get a house, a sustainable job or sustainable business. Putting pressure on you to settle for less because people with fixed mindsets love security more than anything. They start comparing you to their colleagues and their friends boy...

ELON MUSK'S BRILLIANT HIRING STRATEGY USES THE '2 HANDS TEST' INSTEAD OF DEGREE PAPERS.

Image
Elon Musk's Brilliant Hiring Strategy Uses The '2 Hands Test'--Instead of Degrees How Tesla and SpaceX discover top talent through this expertly-engineered process Elon Musk famously discredits traditional education as means to fielding and finding top talent, , saying that 'college is basically for fun and not for learning.' And while businesses across the nation rely on degrees as a tool for finding talent, Musk holds his conviction that skills matter more than degrees.  In doing so, his companies, Tesla and SpaceX, attract and retain some of the brightest minds of our time from across the globe-no degree required. But the hiring process does require two things, which comes down to one thing: the 'Two Hands Test.'  What the 'Two Hands Test' does is field candidates without traditional gatekeepers like degrees. Instead, it qualifies candidates through first-hand experience and hands-on expertise testing. It's brilliantly simple that, like any ...

THE LONG WAITING PERIOD

Image
LONG WAITING PERIOD In life and business there is something that i call  LONG WAITING PERIOD You can't escape this period its actually what makes life intresting. That's the period when things don't seem to work out no matter how hard you try. The period could be 1-5 years. I know some people who dedicate themselves years after year and work hard and thing's still don't seem to work out for them.. Some of those people are in their 20's some in their 40's and some in their 60's. This is the period were life tests you. I know a lady who was already successful in business by the age of 20 got married but at the age of 35 she lost everything for four years, She went through this period. Her husband  left (divorced her). She worked soo hard trying to get back but things didn't seem to work out. She had connections and friends but none of them were willing to help her. She had friends that she had previously helped before, but they didn't want...

I REPRESENT THE REALITY OF EVERY HUSTLER THAT YOU SEE IN ZAMBIA

Image
If I was a celebrity I'd be the type of celebrity who drives a Yaris or an I20, shops at local shops and wears simple clothes.  Alot of celebrity die poor because they spend most of their money protecting a certain image. It was recently discovered that actors and musicians are exploited. How are  we going to know that if they didn't tell us? Most celebrities are renting apartments and estate houses. When they die their children will inherit nothing but rent in areas. If you can't afford a house there means you should not rent there at all. I'll never live my life to impress people or protect a certain image. I'm the reality. I'm what you see. I represent the reality of every hustler that you see in Zambia. I have no time to show you a different image. We can not tackle the actual problems in this country when we are spending so much money trying to hide them. We can't fix what's hidden. Alot of people a driving nice cars living in fancy apartments they...

WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR A LIVING? THIS IS A DECEMBER QUESTION.

Exactly that time of the year where you question yourself about the journey you decided to take. You should remember all our family wants for us is safety and financial security. Entrepreneurship has nothing to do with that.  This is when you get scared to go home. That's because you don't want to answer alot of questions.  The major question would be. *" What are you now doing for a living:?*  Then how do you answer that. If you know very well that you sold bags the business didn't work out then you went for clothes then you started a chicken dust business which is not yet even profitable yet and a number of small hustle.   At this stage you're a beginner in the field on Entrepreneurship yes a biggies maybe  with 3 years experience.  How do you answer your aunt or uncle at the Christmas party when they ask you what Exactly are you doing for a  living.  To top that up. There will be relatives younger than you who will always be used as ...

WHAT MOTIVATE ME TO WORK

Image
What motivated me to work harder on myself and develop myself financially is what I saw in schools and hospitals.  Teachers and nurses and some doctors are financially suffering.  After years they live from hand to mouth.  Worse now some are even retiring to get their retirement funds and going back to work after a few years.  If you do everything by the rules of the system. Go to school get a job and get married start a family buy or build a house before you buy a car then have children then take your children to good private schools.  By the age of 40 you will be BROKE.  Two days after payday you will be left with only K2500.00 for the month. Mid month you go to the loan institutions because your credit score would be messed up by then.  Think about it. Current inflation is more than 24.4% this year.  A salary increase mybe every 5years by less than 6% they still going to Tax you.  Mathematically you getting poorer every year.  U...

WHY WOULD YOU PAY A K6000 TO RENT A HOUSE YET YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING CALLED REVENUE GENERATING BUSINESS

I remember being very stupid.  Worrying about where I'm renting instead of renting in a cheap area and using the extra cash to build a build a business.  Some people are trapped in this thing of maintaining standards. Why would you pay K6000 pm for the apartment instead of getting the apartment for K1500.00 and using the K4500.00 extra cash to build a proper business in your areas. This thing of leaving affordable houses in your area and going to rent  to rent a K6000.00 apartment drive a K5000.00 pm installment and take your kids to a private school while your children have no property to inherit is stupid.   Even if you share one big bedroom for your kids for five years while your building them a proper business nothing is wrong with that. Real comfort comes after suffering it's unfortunate that no one wants to go through the pain majority want it easy. Why seriously why pay such a huge amount for rent while you have no business in your name. Atleast bui...

K50,000 AS BUSINESS CAPITAL FOR BAKERY

This morning I had a business talk on zoom with big businessmen and women. What I have learnt from them is that team up with others and contribute money to start a business is key in some successful businesses and it has helped many people grow in finance. Now let me share with you this business which can only cost you around k55,000 to start in zambia or in your country.   Let's say you  K38000 to set up your own bakery and bake your own bread, pies, rolls etc. You can set this up at your garage or in a mobile container even your own house or rent a house that's why I have put up a k50,000. You can supply bread to boarding schools, restaurants, hotels and Burundi shops.  Equipment that can bake 600 loafs a day costs less than K50,000,00 If you can supply a hospital, hotel, school or a firm with the 600 loafs at K10 per unit. You will be making a Turnover of K6000 a day. This could work for someone who has been retrenched and needs a stable income or someone looking...

$1.4 BILLION SUPPORT AWAITING IMF BOARD RATIFICATION.

Image
$1.4 BILLION SUPPORT AWAITING IMF BOARD RATIFICATION This is a good step in the positi ve direction but people should know exactly what is about to happen as the 2022 budget starts taking shape.  We are here today because debt is choking our economy. What that means is that your salary is K10,000 but ABSA is cutting K7,000 from your salary. You remain with K3000 to pay for your children's school and education. Your salary minus loan deductions can allow you to rent a K3500 house and still remain with enough to run your home but you cannot because the DEBT IS CHOCKING you. This is where we are today as a country, we are being chocked by debt and if we continue without a bailout then we will go from bad to worse.  To move forward, we need to increase the net amount needed to run the economy and that is where the IMF comes in by giving you support of K5000 per month to push your net income from K3000 to K8000. Now lets be frank and open with each other here and let us not s...

TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT BUT WHY AFRICA STILL REMAIN POOR

Image
To set the record straight ° Africa area = 30,37 million km2 ° China area = 9,6 million km2 ° US area = 9,8 million km2 ° Europe area = 10,18 million km2 Africa is bigger than all of Europe, China and the United States of America together. But on most world maps, Africa is represented in downsize. Some say this is racially motivated. Others say it’s impossible to accurately represent the size of continents and countries on a map. Whatever the theory, facts remain facts: Africa is huge, rich and blossoming. Why does it matter to state facts? Because narratives shape perceptions and perceptions drive action. Our continent is not just the cradle of humanity, it is its future. Greetings to you all and let's keep safe 🙏.

A DOOM GROUP OF PF MERCHANTS want US TO BELIEVE THAT IT IS UPND which has CLOSED INDENI

Image
The doom group of PF merchants want us to believe that it is UPND which has closed Indeni and just recently put it on care and maintenance. Unfortunately, the gullible and those who should know better and engulfing this hook, sinker, float, line, bait and whole tackle! The truth is far from this. Indeni has not received crude oil for almost a year. Indeni last received stock for processing last year. And it was closed by the PF. But before I explain that and do some fact-checking on Indeni, allow me to digress and discuss the propaganda wars between UPND and PF. UPND folks have always wanted to project themselves as the educated and managerial types and they also want to look at the PF folks as the 'not-so-educated' types. The truth, however, is that the UPND is full of the theoretical types while PF is full of practical, shrewd, cunning and streetwise types. It’s a mismatch. As a result, PF is usually two steps ahead of UPND in the propaganda wars. UPND are always on the def...

STARTING A A HARDWARE STORE

Image
A HARDWARE STORE.  Is it a good business. With so many people opting to build rather than buying houses because of the high prices in lusaka and developed cities withiin zambia and the fact that many people don't qualify for mortgage bonds. I see alot of immigrants  building these hardware stores in developing areas. I think we should also take advantage I say zambians should take advantage😂😂. The reason some of these small hardware stores built in rural developing areas will be successful it's because of the delivery fees. Alot of people want to cut costs when building so they would rather cut costs on deliveries fees. They prefer using a hardware that is closer to their site.  Although a good performing hardware store makes an average net profit of 10% on its daily sales, 80% of those who venture into this business close their shop in less than 2 years due to losses and cash-flow problems. Who is this business right for? This type of business is usually attracti...

PEOPLE FROM SOLWEZI AND KITWE TOWNS OF ZAMBIA CELEBRATE PAYING OFF CAR'S LOAN LIKE ITS MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT

Image
You buy a car for K300,000  with the loan you got from Stanbic or Zanaco Bank. You pay K6,500 pm over a period of 59 month's.  After 59 month's you find that the value of the car is now K170,000 meaning over the period of 59 months you've lost close to 49% of your money.  People from solwezi and kitwe towns of zambia celebrate paying of car's like it's sum major achievement when it's actually a major loss over the year's.  What happened to buying a smashed vehicle for K20,000 and fixing it for K10,000 and driving it for five years.  Your goal should not be paying of a K300,000 debt over five years your goal should be having an investment of K300,000 on your portfolio over the period of five years.  Imagine you work 40 hour's a week and half your salary goes towards paying off a depreciating liability.  You work for debts and not for incomes yet you expect to be rich one day.  Stop trying to meet society standards. The society in overall is ...
