° Africa area = 30,37 million km2 ° China area = 9,6 million km2 ° US area = 9,8 million km2 ° Europe area = 10,18 million km2 Africa is bigger than all of Europe, China and the United States of America together. But on most world maps, Africa is represented in downsize. Some say this is racially motivated. Others say it’s impossible to accurately represent the size of continents and countries on a map. Whatever the theory, facts remain facts: Africa is huge, rich and blossoming. Why does it matter to state facts? Because narratives shape perceptions and perceptions drive action. Our continent is not just the cradle of humanity, it is its future.
