MEET A ZAMBIAN MAKING THE PROGRES
Bright is the Founder and CEO of BroadPay and former Vice Chairman of the Payments Association of Zambia. Bright has over a decade worth of experience in payment systems in Africa. After working for such brands as Huawei, MTN and Airtel in countries like Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania, Bright set up BroadPay, a payment infrastructure in South Africa, Zambia, Uganda and Mozambique. He’s a fellow of the Alibaba eFounders Fellowship, a fellowship of African entrepreneurs under the mentorship of Jack Ma and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and a winner of the Harambean Harvard Prize.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from Don State Technical University in Russia. He is also an Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Mandela Washington Fellow from the University of Notre Dame in the USA.
Sunday 22nd November 2021 marked the official signing date of the 2020 and 2021 awarded winners of the Harambean Harvard prize. The declaration was signed in Bretton Woods in the United States of America.
The Harambean Harvard prize is a one of a kind title given to African innovators who have pledged to work together as one to transform Africa’s challenges into opportunities.
Amongst the innovative Africans that signed the Harambean Harvard declaration is Bright Chinyundu.
